Workday Integration Consultant (Contract)

We are offering a 6-to-12-month contract ideally to start in February 202- Hybrid working or Remote Work

Alvarez & Marsal has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workday Integration Consultant.

At A&M we use Workday as our central HR management system complemented by a few satellite and specialised systems to strengthen our onboarding, performance management and training services.

We are now in a position to move towards a total integration of those platforms with Workday.

This role will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and coordination of the Workday integrations, together with being the first point of contact in EMEA for the absence solution (not directly responsible for it).


The Workday Integration Consultant responsibilities will include:

  • Subject matter expert with all Workday integration technologies able to demonstrate in-depth Workday core HR knowledge.
  • Help with Workday HCM integration work including design, development and testing.
  • Assist with all aspects of data integrations/interfaces with various vendors and other internal systems.
  • Manage and own endtoend testing with various vendors, Workdaypartner, internal system owners.
  • Responsible for developing integrations focused on data quality and integrity, which can scale based on the growing needs of the organisation.
  • Extract data using Workday using custom reports, employing calculated fields and transformations.
  • Assist with Workday configuration and Business Process Framework.
  • Translate user requirements into system specifications leveraging the existing IT infrastructure (software engineering and architecture).
  • Drive ongoing enhancements to the Workday platform and stay abreast of new enhancements in each Workday release.
  • Collaborate with the Technical teams including HRIS to build, test and deploy the integrations, reports, workflows, dashboards and Security.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HR technology and understand statutory and regulatory requirements with HR and Payroll.
  • Engage with the Workday community to remain informed of system enhancements.

As a Workday Integration Specialist you will have:

  • Proven experience of Workday Integration development and maintenance.
  • Broad functional and technical knowledge of HR, Payroll and Finance processes and systems.
  • Experience in Workday report developments.
  • Advanced analytical skills; ability to lead, develop, conduct, test and document the operation of the HR systems.
  • Strong leadership skills in coaching, motivating and developing highly skilled talent.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills, possessing the ability to motivate team members to perform the tasks.
  • Knowledge and understanding of complex HR operations to maintain the credibility of HR systems.
  • Innovative problem solver with excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Selfstarter, able to drive work forward within an agile environment.
