Our client is a medium size successful chartered accountancy firm, with offices in Brighton and London.They now have an opportunity for an Accounts Team Leader to join the company and help provide a high level of service to a variety of clients.
This role would suit a confident individual, looking to develop their leadership and management skills.Reporting to the partners, the Accounts Team Leader will manage a portfolio of clients and will be support with the management, training and developmentof a small accounts team.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Be a key member of the team, supporting a varied client portfolio of corporates and not for profits (FRS 105,102,102a)
- Lead projects, including management and budget planning.
- Lead the preparation of statutory accounts.
- Preparation of income and expenditure accounts for clients as required.
- Bookkeeping and organisation of accounting records.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Preparation and submission of personal and corporate tax returns.
- Provide excellent service to clients, being the goto person for any queries.
- Proactively identify opportunities for clients and communicate actions clearly.
- Handle technical and challenging projects, working to accounting standards and considerations.
- Work closely with the senior management team, including supporting Partners with projects.
- Contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
- Coach a junior team, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
Requirements:
- You'll be ACCA, ACA qualified or qualified by experience with at least five years of accountancy practice experience
- You'll need excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build relationships with clients always aiming to deliver excellent customer service.
- You'll need to be technically strong with excellent attention to detail, have a cando attitude to problemsolving.
Benefits:
- £38,000 - £48,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
