Our client is a medium size successful chartered accountancy firm, with offices in Brighton and London.

They now have an opportunity for an Accounts Team Leader to join the company and help provide a high level of service to a variety of clients.

This role would suit a confident individual, looking to develop their leadership and management skills.

Reporting to the partners, the Accounts Team Leader will manage a portfolio of clients and will be support with the management, training and developmentof a small accounts team.


Key aspects of the role include:

  • Be a key member of the team, supporting a varied client portfolio of corporates and not for profits (FRS 105,102,102a)
  • Lead projects, including management and budget planning.
  • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Preparation of income and expenditure accounts for clients as required.
  • Bookkeeping and organisation of accounting records.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Preparation and submission of personal and corporate tax returns.
  • Provide excellent service to clients, being the goto person for any queries.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for clients and communicate actions clearly.
  • Handle technical and challenging projects, working to accounting standards and considerations.
  • Work closely with the senior management team, including supporting Partners with projects.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
  • Coach a junior team, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

Requirements:


  • You'll be ACCA, ACA qualified or qualified by experience with at least five years of accountancy practice experience
  • You'll need excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly build relationships with clients always aiming to deliver excellent customer service.
  • You'll need to be technically strong with excellent attention to detail, have a cando attitude to problemsolving.

Benefits:

- £38,000 - £48,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
