Based in Shaftsbury

Up to £46,000 Per Annum

2 day shifts on , 2 night shifts on 17.30 to days off
Reporting to Engineering Manager

Job Purpose


To integrate into the team of Engineers and to ensure the plant and machinery across the site are available and reliable.

To assist in the reduction of plant downtime, PPM completion and enhancement, continuous improvement initiatives, health and safetyand project work.


Our clients site has a pre-existing PPM plan which we are keen to enhance and improve upon to lower downtime and be a proactive business leading engineering team, they pride themselves on their customer service levels and the quality of products they produce.


The site is fast paced, dynamic and truly multiskilled, no day is the same so you need to be at your best to be part of this high functioning, high output engineering team who on a daily basis truly make a difference to business performance.


  • Establish the day's priorities and service your key customers.
  • Prioritise engineering presence in the factory at the start of production at 6AM and 2PM to ensure a smooth transition and support the power hour.
  • Ensure a full and detail Handover is completed including booking all parts and time onto and through the sites CMMS system
  • Make sure all engineering downtime is agreed with production and recorded accurately to support RCA and Top Loss work streams
  • Arrange maintenance work / repair work is undertaken promptly and that we always respond to our customers in a professional manner
  • Insure all paperwork issued to you is signed off correctly and accounted for at the end of the shift
  • Assure our time is used effectively and that costs are minimized through in house repairs and consolidations of spares
  • Ensure all engineering areas are left clean and tidy at the end of shift, clean as you go is a way of life for us and we always pride ourselves on the best possible GMP standards and audit compliant
  • Guarantee any nonresolved / long term issues are communicated to Manager and recorded on the sites CMMS system CI, Top Loss and RCM is our goal so we expect engineers to develop improvement ideas to help the business increase asset availability lower costsand reduce waste
