We are looking for a full time receptionist for our busy hotel reception. Experience in similar role is preferred.

To greet guests following the correct registration procedures
Explain to guest's whereabouts of room, restaurant & other facilities at time of issuing key
Ensure all bedrooms are allocated correctly and special instructions are actioned
To update availability of OTAs to ensure overbooking does not occur
Check out guests and receive payments ensuring all transactions are completed in line with recorded correctly.
Cash up and reconcile cash, cheques and cards at the start and end of each shift
To ensure the guest's bills are kept up to date and that all billing instructions are actioned correctly.
Handle all restaurant bookings and obtain menu preorders for large groups
Handle all Christmas dining booking and obtain deposits and preorders
Handle all conference bookings and send the relevant confirmations to the organiser
Liaise with housekeeping regarding arrivals, stay, departures and any special instructions
Liaise with the maintenance depart to ensure all issues are reported and actioned
Maintain knowledge of all services, policies and procedures offered by all departments.
Maintain a clean, tidy and safe reception area
To handle and resolve any issues raised by in house guests
Undertake any reasonable request from a member of the management team
Ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at all times
To assist other departments such as the bar and restaurant when they are busy
