Recovery & Business Rates Officer

Temporary for 6 months


Location Borehamwood


Hourly pay £28


Days Monday - Friday (Hybrid working 3 days in the office 2 days from home)


Laptop provided

Duties:


  • To be familiar with and keep own knowledge up to date regarding Business Rates legislation, process, procedures, and policies and be prepared to explain its effects to customers and colleagues accurately and concisely.
  • To administer and process all types of Business Rates billing and recovery functions, within agreed targets, including the negotiation of payment arrangements and the monitoring of subsequent recovery.
  • Provide advice, where a liability order has been obtained, to domestic and nondomestic rate payers, by phone, in person or in writing, of the processes involved and the options they have for payment.
  • Check and issue all Business Rates bills to new and existing ratepayers
