Description
To work as a proactive member of the Resourcing team providing a quality and efficient service to operational services.

The post holder is responsible for providing key administrative support and advice to the organisation throughout the entire recruitment cycle for a wide range of vacancies, as well as supporting the Resourcing Manager with the Trust retention strategy and action plan.

The post holder is also responsible for advice on straightforward Terms and Conditions issues, various leave entitlements including maternity and sickness.

The post holder will also be involved in working with the team to implement key processes and procedures which will enable improvements to resourcing and retention practices.

The post holder is also responsible for the issuing of formal documentation together with employment contracts, screening Job Descriptions and Person Specifications before advertisement, issuing internal changes to contracts and ensuring all payroll documentation is completed and submitted in the required timescale

  • The post holder will be required to have accuracy and attention to detail regarding entering details and data entered into the ESR system, Payroll forms and NHS Jobs. Will also be required to maintain employee and bank worker details, including payroll transactions. Ensuring end dates entered into the relevant systems to support time limited amendments to staff working arrangements are captured through the system.
  • Ensure that all ID documentation for employees and bank workers is checked, in line with NHS employment Check Standards and Home Office regulations for new starters and yearly immigration checks.
  • To collate and provide information in regards to leavers on a monthly basis to the Recruitment Services Manager.
  • To conduct exit interviews via telephone and face to face with leavers.
  • Support the Recruitment Services Manager in researching new retention initiatives to be implemented within the Trust.
  • To liaise and work with the Employee Engagement team where retention initiatives cross over between teams.
  • To support the Recruitment Services Manager in developing and implementing the Trust Retention Strategy.
  • Ensure the correct DBS procedure is followed for all new starters and renewals and the necessary documents are collected in line with the Trusts relevant policy and procedure.
  • To maintain accurate records relating to professional registration of employees and bank workers.
