Penguin Recruitment are proud to be partnered with one of the UK's leading and fastest growing Environmental and Engineering Consultancies, who are globally recognised and employ over 3000 staff across the UK and afar.

This well-established company haveseen tremendous year-on-year growth and due to new continued success, are looking to recruit a Senior SHEQ Advisor to join their team.


The successful Senior SHEQ Advisor will have 5 + years' experience working in health and safety and will possess the ISO Internal Auditor qualification, NEBOSH General certificate with TechIOSH (& ideally) IEMA membership.

You will have a genuine passionfor health, safety quality and environment a background in construction or civil engineering is _highly_ desirable.

This is a remote based role that will involve commuting across sites, so possessing a full UK driving license is essential, along with a flexible approach to travel.


As a Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring projects comply with current SHEQ legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to.


Additional duties & responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementingi SHEQ policies and procedures in the office and onsite
  • Carryng out risk assessments, audits and site inspections
  • Carrying out inductions, training, and toolbox talks
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are being properly implemented and high standards are maintained
  • Managing the ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management systems
  • Carryingout incident/accident investigations
  • Encouraging a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the organisation
