FRENCH SPEAKING ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER - TV/FILM - LONDON


A fantastic opportunity for a French Speaking Finance Manager to join a with bold, creative and inventive visual effects company.

Here you would be apart of a creative and innovative team constantly leading the way to evolve challenges and possibilitiesof film making.


As the Assistant Finance Manager you will be reporting to the Financial Controller and be responsible for helping oversee the transactional finance function for the London and Paris studios.

Hybrid working is offered as well as the opportunity for continual progression and development.

Please note an essential requirement for this position is fluency in both the
FRENCH and English language.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assisting in overseeing the transactional finance function for the UK and France: AP, Fixed assets, VAT and Payroll tax reporting, bank recs and credit card management
  • Liaising with a parttime Accounts Payable Assistant and a fulltime Payroll and Finance Admin Coordinator
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts: balance sheet recs, accruals, prepayments, salary control accounts and intercompany transactions
  • Monthly departmental overhead cost analysis with the support departments
  • Bank reconciliations and reconciliation of the actuals in the cash forecast
  • Point of contact for all expenses, general purchasing queries, business surveys
  • Assisting with the year end audits for the UK and France
  • Assisting in budgeting and monthly analysis of departmental reports
  • Contributing to the ever evolving processes to ensure continuous improvement in Finance
  • Awareness of other roles within the team, providing ad hoc finance support as required

SKILLS:


  • Part qualified or qualified ACCA/CIMA
  • Fluency in both the French and English Language
  • Solid all round experience in Finance including monthly management accounts: balance sheet recs, accruals and prepayments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to business partner confidently with various internal departments
  • IT proficient with strong MS Excel
  • Genuine passion for the the Media and Entertainment industry
