Goods Intake QA Auditor - Wrexham, United Kingdom - Adapt Recruitment

Our client based in Wrexham is currently looking to add a Goods Intake QA Auditor to their team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Duties to include:
- Collecting samples of intake materials at the frequency defined by goods intake and transporting to Wrexham site lab for further analysis.
- Conduct in house raw material quality checks as required.
- Compile nonconformance reports to our suppliers.
- Update supplier response on supplier nonconformance system and to Supplier Assurance Manager
- Conduct spot identification audits to verify correct raw material in warehouse location.
- Collaborative approach with relevant personnel across the various warehousing sites to ensure adherence to site and legal requirements.
- Forwarding relevant intake paperwork to Supplier Assurance team and assisting with trace audits as per the testing & trace schedule.
- Daily calibration of monitoring devices
- Ensure all relevant process control records are completed and available for audit purposes.
- Carryout and prioritise daily QA tasks to ensure all scheduled deliveries are inspected in a timely manner.
- Ensure all food safety, GMP, legality and quality requirements are adhered to.
- Complete sleeve intakes against agreed specification.
- Complete additional tasks as deemed reasonable by QA Manager.
- Producing sauces to the specification recorded on the cook sheet.
- Completing all documentation associated with the cooking process to the standard required.
- Participating in sensory evaluation sessions and using the knowledge gained to ensure that sauces are cooked to the correct specification.
- Supplying High Risk assembly with the correctly cooked sauce at the right time.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- 2 years of experience within quality assurance in the food sector
- Be aware and comply with both company and all warehousing sites policies on health and safety and food safety
- Happy to travel to warehouses within a 20mile radius of Wrexham
