Why this role matters

You'll be responsible for delivering a workable & efficient design / networking solution, to enable successful delivery of complex secure national infrastructure, for our Defence contract within Enterprise Managed Service (EMS).

By working collaboratively across all defence teams, you'll help ensure successful fulfilment of orders, delivered proactively within agreed timeframes, and achieve our customer's expectation of service excellence.

What you'll be doing

  • Producing complex design solutions that meet the customer's requirement & clearly communicate the requirements of the service to be provided
  • Designing solution to detail equipment, components, networks services, cabinet layouts, connectivity diagrams, and field team work instructions
  • Identifying and communicate risk, in respect to any impact on delivery within customer SLA's
  • Supporting the implementation of new technologies onto the secure defence infrastructure
  • Working closely with customers, suppliers & stakeholders, maintaining the customer experience
  • Tracking & update asset management databases with implemented design change
  • Working to agreed operational performance measures, whilst maintaining the appropriate level of product, network & system knowledge for the role

You'll have the following skills and experience

  • Good IT Literacy skills (MS Office). Able to manipulate data, prepare documents and presentations
  • Use of Microsoft Visio (preferred)
  • Prioritisation of complex workloads, dealing with multiple complex orders
  • Ability to work both independently & collaboratively with internal / external customers
  • Customer focused & result driven
