    We are currently recruiting a dedicated Gynae Scrub (Nurse) with HCPC registration to work in regular and flexible shifts at The Alexandra Hospital.

    Job Description

    Your role as a Theatre Practitioner Scrub Nurse is to provide high-quality care in a pleasant environment for both staff and patients. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and have specific experience scrubbing for Laparoscopic, Gynae, Urology, and general cases.

    Responsibilities

    1. Assist in the positioning and preparation of a patient as directed by the surgical team, ensuring any specimens are correctly labelled and dispatched to the laboratory.
    2. Help control cross infection by observing departmental policy regarding dress, cleanliness, decontamination, sterilisation procedures, and asepsis.
    3. Participate in induction and orientation programmes for new staff to create a welcoming environment.
    4. Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
