Acorn is currently looking for Concrete Repair Technicians in the Ebbw Vale area. This is an entry-level role for someone interested in a career in concrete repairs.

Role duties could include concrete repair on:

Railway bridges
Walls
Car parks
Fascias and soffits
Floor slabs
Roads...

Often, concrete might have to be broken or chased out to get to the route cause before being repaired. Then, you will move onto waterproofing/protection elements, i.e. painting/laying a waterproof membrane, or using special sealants and adhesives or sprayingit.

This work will mostly be based outdoors, and can sometimes be at height using power tools, therefore taking a bit of physical work.

Once fully-trained, the successful applicant will be able to repair various concrete items (for example chipped brick/block) that can be filled and carefully colour-matched to look as good as new

applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of colour-matching, and enjoy physical, outdoor work
