Sherburn in Elmet - North Yorkshire

37.5 hours per week


Hours:
Monday to Thursday 06:00am to 14:30pm and Friday 06:00am to 11:30pm

This vacancy presents a brilliant opportunity for a Production Welder within the MIG and TIG discipline to join a forward-thinking organisation who are a global leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of electric vehicles and are offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

Production Welder duties and responsibilities:


  • Production welding.
  • Using Jigs and fixtures to produce MIG and TIG welded components.
  • Welding of mild steels of varying thickness
  • Experience in the use of overhead cranes and working at heights.
  • Continuous weld of larger length materials
  • Working with hand tools, sanders, and grinders
  • Perform daily and weekly TMP checks and raising any issues.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure the product is correct to the drawing.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Working to stringent timeframes and tolerances

Production Welder skills & experience required:

  • Experience working as a Production Welder or similar.
  • Experience working within the automotive or within a production environment.
  • Experience with larger welds from inch up to feet
  • Experience with handheld tools and heavier gauge welding
