Can you spot a news angle a mile off? Can you craft compelling copy that cuts through the noise and will grab a journalist's attention? We are looking for a talented and ambitious Media Officer to join our award-winning team, dedicated to transforming the lives of millions of people in the UK living with lung conditions.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs.

We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime.

We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

Reporting to the Senior Media Officer, you will develop and deliver creative on-message media materials including press releases, case study stories, statements and opinion pieces across a variety of projects that raise awareness of Asthma + Lung UK.

You will have strong contacts with a range of journalists and have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

You will have experience of working as a journalist or in public relations dealing with and prioritising incoming media requests and developing and delivering PR plans.

You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys being proactive and tapping into the news agenda to raise awareness and influence change.
