If you have a passion for working with dogs and the animal welfare sector, then we have the most ideal position you could hope for. We are looking for someone that is experienced and loves dogs to work with our team at our beautiful country location in Snodland.


We run a group off-lead exercise (daycare) centre for dogs Monday to Friday and are seeking someone to join our expanding driving team by helping us pick-up and drop-home the dogs alongside helping entertain and care for them.

You would be working with our other team members between the hours of 9am to 3pm on a rotating shift pattern.


The shift pattern will be 3 days a week, 3 days a week then 4 days a week on a rotating basis.

There will be overtime and extra days available as cover for other team members.


You will be a contractor (self-employed) therefore your tax responsibilities are your own to manage but we can help you if you haven't done it before. You will be paid a fixed amount of £70 per shift (9am to 3pm).

You will need to be over the age of 25 (for fleet insurance purposes), hold a full driving licence and provide us with a recent basic DBS check.


This job requires you to have flexibility with the days that you can work (between Mon-Fri) and the times that you can work as these may change.


This role would ideally suit someone that loves driving, the outdoors, isn't afraid of the weather and loves playing and spending time with all types of breeds of dogs.

You will need to have excellent communication and logístical skills as this is a fast paced role that requires you to be very logical and organised.


A fleet van will be provided each day but you will need to be able to drive to site to collect the van before starting your shift.


Your duties would include:


  • Collecting and dropping home dogs using our fleet vans throughout the working day.
  • Supporting the team with entertaining and looking after the dogs when not on a collection or drop.
  • Helping keep the site clean and tidy.
  • Helping the team transition the dogs in and out of the centre.
  • Helping clean, wash and dry the dogs ready to go home.
  • Helping take photos of the dogs each day.

Skills required:


  • Having owned or cared for dogs previously
  • Being confident with dogs of all sizes and breeds and not being afraid to get involved
  • Holding a pet management or care certificate/qualification (not essential)
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent route planning and logistic skills
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Flexibility to work any day (Mon-Fri) and any time between 8am and 5pm
  • Being fit and healthy
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Clear basic DBS check
