THE COMPANY & CLIENT

A small consultancy business located near Surbiton (KT7) has an opportunity for an Interim Accounting Manager for 6 months (mat leave cover) to manage the financial reporting and accounting for our main client, an independent and growing group of 8 neighbourhoodpubs in London with c.150 employees focused on creating places where people have great experiences and giving back to our community, people and world.


THE ROLE

Accounting Manager (interim) to manage the financial reporting and much of the day-to-day accounting function with a team to help support.


Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Month end reconciliations, journals and closing on timely basis.
  • Reporting (month end management accounts, support weekly and ad hoc)
  • Optimise data & processes (e.g. payroll accounting, cash reconciliations, revenue, etc.)


  • Other

  • Preparing VAT filings, audit files and other analysis as needed.
  • Liaising with client's leadership team on accounting queries and support.
  • Excludes: Accounts payable, payroll processing & corporate tax preparation.

YOUR IDEAL BACKGROUND

  • Successful experience in financial reporting and general accounting, ideally multisite
  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks (or similar) and Microsoft Office (Excel wizards especially)
  • Possess great communication skills, wellrounded, open minded and fun
  • Formal training/education in accountancy. The more, the better.
  • Personal characteristics such as integrity, candour, excellence, etc. essential
  • Although home based, ability to easily travel to Surbiton, Surrey (KT7) and London for occasional meetings

THE OFFER

  • A competitive salary at rate of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum for fulltime or prorata for parttime.
