Description
Ensure that financial controls including are implemented and conforming to SORP principles.

  • Ensure that all bank transactions are processed promptly and the bank accounts are reconciled promptly monthly.
  • Raise invoices, for payment through the online banking system.
  • Produce monthly management accounts for budget holders as directed by the finance manager/CEO.
  • In collaboration with the Fundraising and Marketing Manager, reconcile income from all donation portals using the CRM (Donorfy)
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and submission of online Gift Aid claims.
  • Implement, maintain and reconcile, petty, cash and prepayment cards.
  • Record all income and expenditure in the organisation's accounting system (Quickbooks).
  • Ensure accurate monthly payroll information is presented to the payroll bureau in a timely manner.
  • Work with budget holders to keep under review all expenditure and to maximise best value for money in relation to suppliers and contracts.
  • In collaboration with the Accommodation Manager devise, establish and maintain systems suitable for rent collection and rent accountancy.
  • Provide suggestions and advice around the development of financial systems.
  • Assist the CEO and finance manager in the setting of forecasts, cashflow and other reports as required.
  • Analyse risk areas and control weaknesses and bring them to the attention of the finance manager/ CEO.
  • Maintain additional relevant hard copy files.
  • Attend the Finance Sub Group meetings as required.
  • Produce information in a format that enables the making of informed decisions by managers.

£28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
