Finance Manager | Blackburn, BB6 | Full Time | £30,000-£43,000 depending on experience and qualification


Founded in 2015, Fleet Assess Ltd is an Articulated Trailer rental company based in Great Harwood, and looking to recruit a finance manager on a permanent basis.

As our Finance Manager, you will be working closely with the Finance Director and leading a small team.


This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our growing business and bring forward your own ideas and learnings and implement change.

This is a key role in our business and you will be working closely across Finance and Operational areas. You must be able to carry out hands-on transactional work. We are looking for somebody with experience and confidence, that can work full-time.

Are you the right person for us?

  • Must be either qualified to AAT level or part qualified A.C.C.Aor C.I.M.A
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Sage Line 50
  • Must have attention to detail on all tasks
  • Experience leading a small team
  • Organised and driven, with the ability to be both handson and delegate tasks equally.
  • Excellent Excel Skills
  • Confident phone and written manner
  • Must have prior experience working in a busy Finance department, able to multitask, liaise between operational and financial teams
  • Able to work under own initiative, make changes, and challenge the status quo appropriately

What will your role as a Finance Manager look like?

  • Ensure all Finance Tasks are undertaken, timely and accurately
  • Monthend processes, including production of the Management information pack.
  • Managing the daytoday financial operations
  • Management of the cash flow and reconciliations
  • Control over the issuing and chasing of invoices on a monthly/weekly basis
  • Ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately
  • Financial reporting, a monthly presentation of MI and KPIs
  • Ensuring all ledgers are maintained accurately and timely
  • Margin Analysis
  • Operational audit, systems, and fleet.
  • Maintain, enhance, and set up various spreadsheets
