About The Role:

At Saha, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement.

Quality Assurance is a dedicated team providing external, contracted services, mostly to The Salvation Army.


Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Support Officer will provide specific support to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of our contract terms.

The post holder is primarily required to proof read reports for consistency and accuracy, collate statistics, as well as providing administrative, project and system support to the team.

The Quality Support Officer will provide excellent customer care to internal and external customers of the Association. The post holder will be able to work from home or from one of Saha's offices depending on location.


What you will be doing:


  • To provide a quality assurance check of review and inspection reports in line with consistency guidelines, framework documents and contract requirements, before issue.
  • To assist with the issuing of Review Summary reports in line with contract requirements to the customer.
  • To be responsible for the upkeep of records related to monitoring of reviews and inspections.
  • To monitor all feedback processes used by the department. To provide advice and support to members of the team in respect of survey production and results analysis.
  • To assist with the production of statistics or information for reports as required
  • To be customer focussed and maintain positive relations with managing agencies, internal and external customers
  • To maintain and update all contact details as required for customers to ensure the effective communication with customers and their Services.
  • To manage the good practice register for the team and to research external good practice as required to assist with recommendations for continuous improvement at Services. To ensure that the Review framework documents are relevant and current according to any legislative or regulatory changes.
  • To provide administrative and project support to ensure the smooth running of the department and its contracts, including setting up and managing databases and excel records, data analysis, production of training materials, document creation and formatting.
  • To be responsible for effective document management and control along quality assurance principles and ensure accurate maintenance of electronic filing systems and processes.
  • To assist with the production of procedures and the visual presentation of documents using MSOffice packages.
  • To coordinate and implement changes from the annual review of documentation and manage the team action log for changes throughout the year.
  • To arrange team meetings throughout the year, produce all supporting documentation as required and to take and produce accurate and timely minutes.
  • To manage any financial processing requirements around invoices, purchase orders, stationary ordering, setting up suppliers, procurement, and any other finance procedure requirements to assist in the smooth running of the department.
  • To produce any promotional materials required by the department and ensure the team intranet site is updated regularly.
  • To safeguard and promote the welfare of individuals and families that come to our attention
  • To adhere to the Association's policies, procedures and strategies as applicable with particular reference to the Health and Safety and diversity documents.
  • To attend events organised by the Association and its partners as required
  • To undertake any reasonable additional duties as instructed by the line manager or senior management team within the spirit of the role or aims and objectives of the association.

We're looking for people with the following:


Essential Criteria:


  • Previous experience in working within a Housing Association or Local Authority
  • Practical knowledge and experience of quality assurance systems
  • Previous experience working with Sharepoint
  • Experience of working within an audit / inspection team with an understanding of the requirements of an effective and informative report to the customer.
  • An understanding of the Support planning process and models for support delivery around psychologically informed and enabling environments
  • An understanding of the structure, ethos and work of The Salvation Army
