Bank of America is hiring a Trader Assistant that supports the EMEA & CEEMEA Credit desks within the Global Credit business.

The TA will be responsible for numerous support tasks such as booking trades, trade validation, trade maintenance, portfolio review, break investigation & resolution, report preparation as well as control and query work.

The role is well suited to a conscientious, hardworking and motivated individual. The successful applicant will work closely with Front Office & other stakeholders across a variety of asset classes.


The Team:


The Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) & Derivative Core Operations (FDCO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.

Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.


Core Skills:


  • Responsible for trade capture, validation and exception monitoring, adhering to the necessary regulatory framework and legal entity strategy
  • Supporting both the flow and structured credit businesses
  • Work with support partners to make necessary amendments to trades
  • Monitor and process time sensitive requests relating to trade bookings, settlement issues and/or downstream feeds
  • Work with the desk to monitor and minimize FX exposure
  • Submit house and client orders in CDS Credit Event Auctions
  • Resolve Risk and P&L issues
  • Work closely with Front Office, Risk and P&L to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor news flow and where relevant, advise support partners of upcoming events
  • Resolving client issues working with sales and client management teams to ensure that client issues are addressed and resolved.
  • Resolve queries for the trading desk and related support partners
  • Cooperate with trading, sales, COO teams and often other LOB partners to enable the business
  • Build and maintain relationships across senior business leads and support partners
  • Involvement is various initiatives across both the business and the trade control organisation
