If you are an experienced Healthcare Assistant with a passion for making the patient journey as comfortable as possible we have just the role for you.


Working as a Health Care Assistant at Practice Plus Group Ophthalmology, North West, you'll provide support to the nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a high standard of care to patients in a safe and caring environment.

This will involve working with our Ophthalmic Nurses in outpatients and theatre.

What you'll be doing:


Welcoming/receiving our patients/visitors to the service in a pleasant efficient manner ensuring the appropriate person is notified of their arrival.

Deal with enquiries in a helpful and courteous manner, being aware of the need to maintain confidentiality at all times.

To assist the clinical team with data entry, filling and maintenance of accurate documentation of care.


37.5 hours per week across 4 days, travel to mobile sites across Lancashire, Manchester and Yorkshire as part of the contract. Travel time and mileage paid - Shifts start at 07.30am

What we'll look for in you:

We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard, learn and develop in the role, but most importantly someone who understands the value of team work and a good work ethic.


The ideal applicant will have

  • You will have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and be willing to undertake training to gain further clinical skills.
  • Experience or a good understanding of a HCA duties and responsibilities
  • The ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues.
  • The flexibility to fit into internal rotating shift pattern
