Corporate Tax Director / Corporate Tax Senior Manager - SUPERB ROLE


McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top80 Accountancy Practice who have seen vast growth over the last few years and are looking to recruit a Corporate Tax Senior Manager for their growing team in Central London, focussing on SME's andmulti-national clients (up to £100m turnover).

Supporting the Tax Partner with tax compliance and tax reviews, the role would suit an ACA, ACCA or ideally CTA Qualified tax specialist from a Top100 or well-known Regional Accountancy firm.


Key duties include:

  • Responsible for reviewing corporation tax returns completed by the team and ensuring compliance is up to date
  • Dealing with tax advisory projects and adhoc tax advisory assignments with the Partner including group reorganisations, share transfers, share planning, cross border issues, demergers and growth share transactions
  • Alongside the Partner, dealing with wide ranging and complex client tax queries as required
  • Taking a leading role in managing the tax department and management of staff workflow
  • Training other team members across the firm including the audit team around Corporate Tax legislative changes
  • Participation in the critical ongoing review of tax systems
  • Reviewing work undertaken by Tax Supervisors/Managers and providing onthejob tax training
  • Significant liaison with the audit department and audit partners on crossselling opportunities
  • Reviewing advisory corporate tax documents compiled by Tax Supervisors/Managers


The position is a first-line support role to the Corporate Tax Partner, and is likely to be 50% Tax Compliance and 50% Tax Advisory, but this is flexible according to your skillset.

To be considered for the Corporate Tax Director / Corporate Tax Senior Managerrole you should be ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified with first-class knowledge of UK corporate taxation (including advisory experience) and preferably an awareness of international tax/cross-border issues.

With 5-years post qualification experience or more,you should have excellent knowledge of accountancy principles, in particular accounting for tax along with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and help build a highly focused and effective tax team of differing abilities.

You should havestrong commercial awareness, be client focused and be able to manage constant change.
