The role:


Reporting and supporting the Health and Safety Manager, your key responsibilities are supporting the delivery of Health and Safety initiatives across the organisation.


Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Provide departmental support relating to the Health and Safety aspects of development, implementation and improvement of the integrated management system by ensuring compliance with legislation, relevant ISO/EN/BS Standards and best practice
  • Ensure Health & Safety (internal and legal) compliance and Housekeeping Standards throughout the business, by completing regular inspections and interactions with employees
  • Work with others and thirdparty stakeholders (such as emergency services) to arrange regular emergency practices to test and review the onsite emergency response plans
  • Communicate key trends in health and safety performance results to relevant departments so that the manufacturing process can be managed in the most efficient manner
  • Monitor and reporting the status of all SHE related actions within the business

The successful person:


The successful person will have experience of working within a H&S function with a Health and Safety qualification (ideally NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent), an understanding of standards relating to Health and Safety Management, experience in supporting and ideally implementing Management Systems and a proven ability of adhering to agreed systems and procedures.
