As a Dynamics Functional Consultant, you will be a functional consultant in our Digital Dynamics Team and will be working closely with projects, business teams, analysts, and user experience specialists.

You will deliver and maintain solutions that meet business needs with efficient and effective processes and ways of working. You will be a key part of the digital transformation of HSE.


Job description:

You will be supporting existing systems, designing, and delivering new features as we develop our service, adhering to standards and using Agile principles ensuring timely production of goals and approvals through constructive collaboration with all relevant parties contributing to innovation of all products.


As a Dynamics Functional Consultant, you will be working with a wide range of stakeholders such as user researchers, product managers, designers, business analysts, content specialists, delivery managers and digital architects, all of whom share a user centric vision for making government better through smarter use of technology.

In addition, you will collaborate and engage with solution architects, developers, test managers and operations colleagues to ensure the smooth transition from design, through development and into live.


Key responsibilities
and technical skills

  • Configure the CRM system to meet the business and end user needs. Specifically utilising Customer Service and Field Service modules in Dynamics 365 and utilising Power Platform
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, architects to implement Microsoft Dynamics CRM solutions ensuring it operates seamlessly and efficiently with other backoffice solutions.
  • Use of Azure DevOps to record development and configuration activities.
  • Monitor and assess data capacity within a solution to ensure space utilisation continues to reflect business needs efficiently.
  • Configure CRM workflows to support business processes, extract data, produce tailored reports and respond to information requests.
  • Utilise CRM export and import processes to support team requirements.
  • Manage change and deployment cycles for new and existing implementations across the CRM platform.
  • Manage the efficient planning and delivery of new updates, modifications, and the adoption of best practice policies, including conducting research to identify opportunities to leverage new functionality within the system that is released by Microsoft.
  • Manage and coach a team of CRM/ Dynamics Support Analysts

Activities will include:

  • Setting individual objectives and development plans and monitor outputs and outcomes against the performance framework and undertaking at least every 8 weeks).
  • Ensure that all work is delivered to the required standards.
  • Identify and monitor training and development needs and tracking development to ensure there is a positive correlation with training and performance.
  • Identify and recognise high performance and seek to replicate this consistently across the team and on an ongoing basis.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, success and innovation that emphasises quality, continuous improvement, employee development and high performance, celebrating the team's achievements.

Person specification:


  • Good experience with Microsoft Dynamic CRM 365 (Customer Service and Field Service modules), specifically around solution and entity creation and deployment.
  • Proficient with configuring, deploying, and customising Microsoft Dynamics CRM and the power apps portal.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps would be preferable but not e
