REED Accountancy Oxfordshire are recruiting on behalf of a very well-established organisation in the heart of Oxford who are looking for an organised and personable Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team.


The role will suit someone who has great organisational skills, has experience working in Accounts Payable and has fantastic attention to detail skills.

**Purchase Ledger Clerk
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent on experience
Immediate interview**
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure supplier details are all kept up to date
  • Reconcile statements from suppliers, chase invoices under query and deal with any reconciling
  • Accurately code and enter invoices and credit notes onto company system
  • Assist with monthend processes
  • Identify invoices for payment and produce the payment run
  • Ensure all payments and payment runs are authorised in accordance with company procedures
  • Processing credit card statements and ensure these are reconciled
  • Process of expense claims, ensuring these are accurate and in accordance with VAT legislation

Person Specification:


  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work under pressure
  • Strong team player, with ability to work supervised and with your own initiative
  • 2 years' experience working in Finance roles
