Description
Victoria Primary Care Network are looking to recruit four enthusiastic administrators to create a new eHub team.


The role of the eHub administrator is to undertake a wide range of administrative duties to aid in the management of all incoming online consultations using eConsult as well as answering telephone calls as part of a switchboard.

The post holders will have a varied shift pattern between the hours of 8:30am

  • 20:00 Monday to Friday, and 95 Saturday.
Main duties of the job

Excellent IT skills are essential along with good communication and the ability to work under pressure.

Ability to work in a systemised, process driven way, handling and managing high volumes of tasks, information and calls.

The following are the core responsibilities of the eHub Administrator.

There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

Telephonist Duties:

Daily telecommunication duties, will include diverting and triaging calls to the write departments, booking of appointments for our PCN Practices.

Workflow eConsults into patient records on EMIS

Ensure all eConsults are reviewed and processed within the specified timeframe

Actively call patients to resolve relevant admin requests

Redirect eConsults to relevant teams

Maintain records of all activities carried out, i.e. eConsults received, coding of outcomes and other relevant fields in the EMIS template.

Maintain and develop effective communication across the team

Proactively engage in development of the eHub

Induction training


On arrival at the eHub all personnel are to complete a practice induction programme; this is managed by the PCN Manager.

Collaborative working

All staff are to recognise the significance of collaborative working. Teamwork is essential in multidisciplinary environments.

Effective communication is essential, and all staff must ensure they communicate in a way that enables the sharing of information in an appropriate manner.

Experience

Essential

  • At least 1 years' experience working in a customer service orientated environment
Desirable

  • Experience working in primary care
  • Knowledge of Primary care networks

Skills:

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Clear, polite telephone manner
  • Effective time management (Planning & Organising)
  • Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving & analytical skills
  • Ability to follow policy and procedure
