We are looking for a motivated person with excellent communication skills to join our friendly and supportive administrative team in our busy and fast paced service.


You will be someone who enjoys diversity in their working day, who is able to work effectively to problem-solve and overcome issues as they arise, utilising the Admin Team Coordinator for assistance when needed.


  • The job holder will have telephone and face to face contact with service users, visitors, staff
  • The job holder will be expected to have a positive attitude towards colleagues, service users and visitors at all times
  • Information will be of a confidential and sensitive nature and will require handling in accordance with Trust Information Governance policy. The job holder will be required to meet NHS standards for confidentiality and information sharing

  • To deal with telephone and personal enquiries from members of the public, GPs and other healthcare professionals. Provide nonclinical information and advice to patients and relatives within the boundaries of the role.
  • Effective working relationships will be developed with the direct line manager, the Support Service team and clinical teams.
  • Ability to organise, create, file and retrieve electronic and manual records
  • Proven basic keyboard skills tested.
  • Can demonstrate basic computer skills using Microsoft Office e.g. Outlook, accessing the internet.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written with service users, relatives and staff.
  • Can demonstrate above basic level numeracy and literacy skills tested
  • The job holder will need to demonstrate good customer service skills
  • Provide admin and clerical support to the respective team of medical and clinical staff, including basic copy typing and data input, including the generation and sending of appointment letters,, photocopying, opening and distribution of mail.
  • Taking accurate messages, responding and passing information on in the appropriate manner.
  • The job holder will undertake personal responsibility with regard to attendance at all identified mandatory training.
