This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced therapist who wishes to expand and develop skills in leading a Team and providing Clinical Expert management of specialist caseload within a small and supportive team.
We are looking for a self-motivated, friendly and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our established Children's Therapy Team in North Lincolnshire.
We are a small but dynamic multi professional team comprised of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and Speech and Language Therapy.
The Service has full access to telehealth and there is the option for consideration of working from home for some of sessions.
As part of this role, you will be expected to co-lead a small team of Speech and Language Therapists and non-registered staff.
This will include setting direction and vision, managing performance, service development, audit and ensuring the smooth day to day running of the service.
You will also work alongside other Band 7 Team Leads across our wider Children's Therapy team to support the development of the service as a whole.
You will also work alongside another Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist's to jointly lead the Speech and Language Team.
You will also work with local partners (Local Authority and Education) to develop services and support the management of specifically commissioned Early Years elements of the service.
- To take the lead in day to day management and leadership of a Speech and Language Therapy Team consisting of registered and non registered roles. To be responsible for the planning, development, maintenance and evaluation of the Children's Therapy Service, contributing to the strategic planning and for any developments and needs. This will include the leadership and management of specifically commissioned Early Years elements of the service
- To take provide expert clinical specialist management in children's therapy, including the advanced management of children with diverse presentations and a wide variety of complex communication needs
- To be responsible for managing their own caseload and the supervision, education and assessment of students, assistants and junior therapists in their area. They will provide specialised advice to other professionals in this specific clinical area
- To undertake evidencebased audit and research projects to further own and teams clinical practice.
