Description

To manage your own route according to the weather and traffic conditions Staff on this duty will be expected to work unsupervised and will be responsible for the safe delivery of all specimens, Radiopharmacy, equipment, parcels or documents Staff must have the physical ability to move heavy loads of 15kg plus using the appropriate equipment.

To carry out basic vehicle checks of fuel, oil, water, and lights to prevent unnecessary breakdowns prior to the commencement of the shifts as previously discussed by the Transport Manager To keep accurate records of daily vehicle inspection and handing records into City Transport Office on a weekly basis (Monday Morning) To log all jobs correctly via mobile phone To keep the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition and to prevent the consumption of food and beverages.

To observe the Health and Safety at Work act, the Road Traffic act where appropriate and report any accidents, incidents or dangerous occurrences depending on the post holders assessment as to the severity as soon as possible after the occurrence
