The Opportunity


The continued expansion of the Group has created a requirement to add to our Social Value and Sustainability department for two people to undertake an Apprenticeship in Social Value and Sustainability.

This is a hands-on role to provide support to the Social Value Manager, working across a number of contracts in the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of our commitments, as well as attending events, careers fairs and school initiatives.

Full training will be provided for this varied and business essential role.


The Role:


  • Support on the delivery of Contract specific targets and social sustainability objectives in line with the Company's commitments.
  • Engaging in educational and community activities to deliver social value.
  • Working with colleagues and third sector organisations to maximize opportunities to reuse waste and create a
positive environmental, cultural, and social impact from our activities.

  • Reporting on a number of contracts including managing entries onto the national TOMS portal.
  • Produce case studies and use communication channels to promote social value activities and good news
  • Attend events, careers fairs and other community initiatives in the areas we operate.
  • Complete all coursework as part of the Apprenticeship, and you will have regular meetings with your line manager and course tutor to support this.

Key skills/experience:


  • Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders preferred.
  • You will be required to complete the Level 3 Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability apprenticeship as part of the role.
  • Good organisation, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to drive with access to a car is essential.
  • Ability to work in a small team and follow instructions.
  • Good communication skills, speaking and written.
  • Project planning (desirable).
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and wanting to serve the public with a positive 'can do' attitude.
