We are currently working with a Local Government organisation in the Midlands who are looking for a
Senior Accounting Technician to support the Council during a busy period.

**Senior Accounting Technician

Working Arrangement:
Full-Time

Location:
Midlands

Rate:
Negotiable dependant on experience (Inside IR35)

Duration: - 6 Months with likely extensions

Remote Working Available
**Role Duties: - Analysis of financial data using financial systems such as Coretime (time sheets) and Oracle Cloud

Prepare accurate, concise, and timely budget monitoring/forecasting information to service managers, contractors', and customers
Provide support for the annual budget setting process
Provide high quality financial advice and support to Service Manager and the BDS team
Work closely with the customers to produce data for monthly financial reporting
Provide support for financial year end processes to deliver tangible outcomes
Monitor and Resolve Invoice Queries
Identify and help to implement positive changes to existing processes within the services and for their contractors and customers
Reconcile financial data
Investigate and analyse complex information
Interpret and utilise technical and analytical skills to interpret performance data

**Role Responsibilities: - Experienceworking withina Finance Function within Local Government

AAT qualified (or equivalent)
Experience of preparing budgets, monitoring and forecasting and analysing and reconciling complex data
Experience of using databases and financial software e.g. Oracle Cloud
