Gaydon and Whitley (Hybrid)

£32.59 per hour Umbrella


We are looking for a Functional Safety & Software Verification to join a world-leading automotive company based in Gaydon on a contract basis.


Functional Safety Lead / Software Verification Engineer role is responsible for the strategic lead, definition and execution of testing tools and methods for harmonised Functional Safety control systems solutions, consisting of multiple interconnected components applied to vehicles for Powertrain.


Skills Required for the Functional Safety & Software Verification:

  • Strong system engineering and system analysis skills
  • Relevant experience of integrated system testing
  • Experience in ISO 2626
  • Functional safety

Experience Required for the Functional Safety & Software Verification:

  • Good relevant experience working in a Systems Engineering environment
  • ideally within the Automotive Sector but the role may suit someone with experience in other transportation or safety industries.
  • Experience in ISO 2626
  • Functional safety

  • Working knowledge in safety analysis (HARA, FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DFA)
  • Strong system engineering and system analysis skills
  • Ability to produce formal documentation to highly professional standards.
  • Relevant experience in integrated system testing

Experience Preferred for the Functional Safety & Software Verification:

  • Expert in Part 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 of ISO2626
  • Experience in Control Systems Software
  • Testing using MATLAB / INCA / Vector tools.
  • Full driving licence
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Functional Safety & Software Verification will benefit from £32.59 per hour Umbrella.
