ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced and versatile Head of Contracts to join the Education Department.

You will be responsible for contract management and reporting to government authorities, as well as supporting Ofsted and third party education quality audits.


To excel in this role, you should be calm under pressure, have impeccable attention to detail, have great organisation & planning skills, and must be adaptable in order to function in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.


You will work as a part of an Education Operations Division and side by side with a student success team.

You will take the lead on the entire contract management process, from negotiation to execution, overseeing the delivery against contracts.

In addition, you will be responsible for reporting to government authorities, with support from the data team, particularly in respect of government funded projects.


You will support the team and systems specific to complying with audit and quality standards around the world, starting with the UK and Ofsted requirements, as well as requirements by local and the national Department for Education in relation to delivering Skills Bootcamps and similar training funded by the UK government.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Contract Management:


  • Negotiate and finalise contracts with funding bodies, partners, and service providers for Skills Bootcamp and Apprenticeship programs.
  • Develop contract terms, conditions, and performance metrics in alignment with program objectives and funding requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, ensuring timely delivery of services, milestones, and reporting obligations.

Stakeholder Engagement:


  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including program managers, finance, and legal teams, to ensure alignment with contract terms and obligations.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including funding agencies, industry partners, and training providers, to maintain positive relationships and address any contractrelated issues or concerns.

Compliance and Risk Management:


  • Ensure compliance with funding regulations, contractual obligations, and organisational policies throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Identify and mitigate contractrelated risks, including financial, operational, and reputational risks, through effective risk management strategies.

Financial Management:


  • Oversee budget allocation and expenditure related to contractfunded programs, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and funding restrictions.
  • Monitor financial performance and expenditure against budgetary targets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Develop and implement performance monitoring systems and KPIs to track program outcomes, deliverables, and impact.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders, including funders, management, and regulatory bodies, to demonstrate program effectiveness and compliance.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:


  • Establish quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the delivery of highquality services and outcomes in line with contractual requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and innovation in contract management and program delivery.
