Sign Installation Operative_

We are seeking a proactive, competent, hard-working and dedicated individual to join our organisation in the role of a sign installation operative.

The full time position can also involve the manufacture/delivery of sign products and will involve a variety of physical tasks including but not limited to:

- installation of signs, posts, street nameplates and other street furniture


The role may also involve:
- the use of machinery to manufacture signage
- the wrapping, despatch and delivery of sign products


The person shall have:

• A clean driving licence
• No criminal convictions (installation can be in high security areas)
• An attention to detail that products are manufactured and installed correctly and to time

It is desirable to have:

• Good communication skills with colleagues, clients and the public
• The ability to understand and act on written, verbal and technical instructions

It is desirable, but not essential, to have:

• Practical experience of excavating on the public highway/Streetworks certification
• Forklift certification

Experience is not essential as on-the-job training is provided and following a successful probationary period this would include NRSWA Streetworks if certification if not already held.

Health and safety is paramount and the successful applicant will receive training in line with the company's policy. Similarly, training on the use of sign making machinery at the company's facility will be provided.

We are a SME based near Luton, Bedfordshire, providing top quality products and services to both public and private sector clients.

Salary is paid monthly.

We operate a 40-hour working week between with 30 mins lunch), 20 days annual leave (including compulsory 3 days between Christmas and New Year), a work-place pension and an employee profitability bonus scheme.

A starting salary of £25,120 per annum is paid monthly in arrears. This rises to £28,392 per annum following the probationary period and once fully trained including Streetworks qualified. Ad-hoc overtime and weekend work is also available.
