Responsibilities:

Timely Delivery:

Safely transport cakes from our production facility to various delivery destinations within Luton, London, and nearby regions, ensuring on-time deliveries.

Product Handling:
Handle cakes with care during loading, transportation, and unloading to maintain their quality and presentation.

Route Planning:
Efficiently plan delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with customers politely, answering any delivery-related queries, and representing the company in a professional manner.

Inventory Management:
Assist in maintaining accurate records of stock levels and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.

Adherence to Policies:
Follow company policies and procedures regarding delivery schedules, safety guidelines, and traffic regulations at all times.

Requirements:

Experience:
Prior experience as a delivery driver is preferred, especially in the food industry. Familiarity with cake delivery is a plus.

Valid Driver's License:
Possess a valid and clean UK driver's license (Category B) with a good driving record.

Reliability:
Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in adhering to delivery schedules, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Time Management:
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

Geographic Knowledge:
Familiarity with the Luton, London, and surrounding areas to ensure efficient route planning and navigation.

Physical Fitness:
Maintain physical fitness as the job may involve lifting and carrying cake boxes of varying weights.

Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with customers and internal team members.

Attention to Detail:
Display careful attention to detail when handling cakes and maintaining delivery records.

Flexibility:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional overtime, to accommodate peak delivery periods or special orders.
