About the role
The Global Logistics Manager is responsible for the physical delivery of all materials required to build the Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) globally, managing all transport end to end, ensuring the team delivers on agreed service levels and cost targets.
This includes the management of key relationships with 3rd Party Warehousing and Logistics Providers, carriers and suppliers, as well as customs clearance.
You will build a high performing logistics function that delivers optimal value based on business requirements and priorities.
Working collaboratively across the business you will support the development of the Supply Chain Operations strategy, driving system, process and capability improvements.
About you
- Strong background and experience working in international logistics
- Proven experience in building high performing teams
- Experience of delivering in fast paced environments, with a high degree of change
- Experience working with 3PLs and freight forwarders
- Experience with trade compliance (customs and duties)
- Knowledge and experience working with ERP/MRP systems
- Ability to interpret budgets, variances and financial and statistical data, taking a proactive approach to predict results and take necessary actions
