Cygnets Preschool is a thriving setting based on the grounds of Langford Village School. We cater for children aged two to four years of age within our preschool. Additionally, we offer Wraparound Care, this care compliments and runs alongside the nursery sessions held at the primary school.

Cygnets Preschool is operated independently from the school by the Cygnets Leadership Committee and is a non-profit making charity registered with Ofsted.

The Cygnets committee members are all parents/grandparents of children at the school or in the preschool.

Your role will be to continue our success whilst bringing fresh ideas and exciting possibilities to our wonderfully equipped setting.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be ensuring that every child is stimulated and nurtured to achieve their individual ability.

We are looking for a qualified early years practitioner or unqualified practitioner with experience to come and join our caring, friendly, fun, warm hearted and fabulous team.

This role requires a person with a smiley face who wants to play with children from a variety of backgrounds, read stories with enthusiasm, enjoys singing & dancing and has a passion to role play with 2-4 year olds at their level, both inside and outside, even if it is pouring down with rain


Days:
Monday - Friday


Hours:
Permanent Part-time, Term time only

Available to work Monday - Friday, minimum 12-15 hours (from 11am)


What we are looking for:

• Level 2/3 Early Years Qualification or unqualified with experience.
• An understanding of the EYFS.
• Understanding of the importance of Safeguarding within childcare, policies, and procedures.
• Understanding of OFSTED requirements/Inspection Frameworks.
• A willingness to undertake appropriate training, including CPD (Safeguarding and paediatric first aid training will be required); and
• A sense of fun and enthusiasm coupled with a mature responsible attitude.
