Job Summary
We have an exciting vacancy for a Registered Nurse (band 5) based in Beccles, Suffolk in our Intermediate Care Centre (ICC) providing rehabilitation and Specialist Palliative Care services to patients in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.
Our aims are to reduce acute hospital admission and facilitate early discharge for our patients by utilising the skills of the multidisciplinary skilled team of nurses and therapists permanently attached to the centre.
The ICC also has 6 consultant led Specialist Palliative Care beds which provide intensive symptom control and management to allow patients to maintain the best quality of life possible.
The post holder will provide a high standard of care as part of a multi-disciplinary team to patients within the intermediate care service. The post holder will be working as an autonomous practitioner applying a high level of clinical reasoning to ensure that individualised care is delivered safely.
The postholder will work 11.5 hour shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

Main Duties
The role of the Registered Nurse is to work with the multi professional team and the Nurse in Charge contributing to the on-going assessment, providing and monitoring care in line with the service pathways and as agreed with supervising clinician(s).
They will monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the multi-professional team.
The Nurse has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan, providing holistic and person centered care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings.
Registered Nurses are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment; and will act in accordance with the NMC Code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates.
