    We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Privacy Counsel to join our team at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch). In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our data privacy strategy and ensuring compliance with global laws.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic guidance on data privacy matters, leveraging your expertise in European and U.S. law to drive business growth while mitigating risk.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data privacy policies, procedures, and controls that meet evolving regulatory requirements.
    • Advise on cloud computing services and related privacy legal issues, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on data privacy best practices, fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.

    Requirements

    • Mastery of data privacy laws, including significant post-qualification experience in-house or in private practice, with a minimum of 10+ years of legal experience.
    • Demonstrated expertise in advising on complex data privacy issues, particularly those related to cloud computing services.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
