Aeropeople are currently recruiting for a Part 145 Final Inspector on behalf of our client based in Southend on Sea.

Established 20 years ago they are an approved aircraft repair station specialising in aviation wheel and brake services.

Their sizable workshop/ office offers the space to carry out full testing, inspection, repair and overhaul of the majority of regional, commercial, military and corporate aircraft wheels, brakes, landing gear, freight locking system components, hydraulics, actuators, valves and accumulators.

They also have their own Non

  • Destructive Testing department on site. Their customers span the UK to Europe, USA, Canada, Middle and Far East.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this is a great opportunity to join the expanding team in a well-established Aerospace MRO.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all aspects of final inspection (Form 1) are completed in accordance with Part 145/ M requirements in line with specific approval rating holdings with the company.
  • Vast knowledge of completion of UK CAA FORM 1/ EASA FORM 1/ FAA 81303/ TCCA FORM ONE.
  • Perform final inspection of work, final inspection paperwork with traceability using Quantum system.
  • Read, understand, and follow CMM and all maintenance manual requirements by the Regulatory bodies and customers.
  • A firm understanding of Part 145 & final inspection process for Wheels and Brakes.
  • Ensure that determinations concerning major alterations/repairs are accomplished as delineated in the manual in accordance with technical data from Form 1 certificates.
  • Investigate and respond to any Corrective Actions (CAR's).
  • Perform OJT training as necessary to ensure inspection personnel can perform their job functions.
  • Maintain a personal Practical Experience Record.

About You:

  • Is appropriately certified under part 145 with experienced approvals.
  • Has experience managing small teams.
  • Is thoroughly familiar with the applicable inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids equipment and tools used to determine the airworthiness of articles for Wheel and Brakes.
  • Has eighteen months of practical experience for work Wheels and Brakes.
  • Understands FARs and A.D.s, CMM technical Data.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Part 145 final inspection processes and can demonstrate all relevant knowledge of blocks of form 1 construction.
  • Aviation/ CMM/ AMM reading Experience.
  • Experience of supporting others with technical issues
  • An intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Ability to analyse user/ customer provided information and determine possible issues and faults (at Final Inspection)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and work under own initiative.
  • Ability to communicate well with people of all technical or nontechnical levels and experiences, to explain faults and corrective actions to be taken.
  • A willingness to learn and develop in a new and dynamic role.
  • Able to effectively time manage and meet deadlines.
