Description

Greystoke Property Maintenance Ltd is a Manchester based company providing a varied range of residential property repairs and maintenance work to our Property Management customers throughout Greater Manchester.


We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Tradesman/Handyman to join our small but expanding team, someone that also has knowledge and a solid ability of other trades i.e.

basic plumbing, minor plastering, painting and decorating.


The position is focused on solving, repairing, replacing and quoting of maintenance work, all relating to domestic properties being a mixture of void and occupied properties.

Salary will be £29,000 per annum, 40 hour per week, Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm (30 mins lunch). 22 days annual holiday, plus 8 stat holidays ,van and Fuel/Materials card.

This is a permanent position, and is through PAYE.


Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Undertake maintenance tasks, call outs, response & repair of all types of general building items.

Some examples of works required in properties include:

  • Resealing kitchen worktops/baths/shower trays etc.
  • Door handles
  • Non PVC lock replacements
  • Minor Joinery repairs
  • General maintenance repairs
  • Painting and decorating
  • Minor tiling
  • Minor plumbing
Assess any parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts.

Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.


To ensure customer property is respected at all times and work is carried out in a clean and tidy manner.


Ensure jobs are completed to an agreed timescale and always ensuring to best of your ability that there are no job call backs.

Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times.

Ensure all administration tasks are performed in line with company procedures.


Experience
Experience in the Maintenance Industry is essential.

Experience of the requirements of health and safety legislation, including the use of workplace risk assessments.

End of Tenancy Cleaning experience would also be a bonus.


Essential Qualification and skills:

Full driving license.


Ability to act independently, prioritise work and make intelligent but pragmatic decisions whilst having the judgment to know when to discuss and gain support from management.

Own PPA, tools and equipment required.
