The Health and Wellbeing Lead is a key role responsible for the planning, implementation and promotion of a broad range wellbeing activities that will support the organisations health and wellbeing agenda.


This is a very exciting time in which rapid advancements are taking place across the Trust, with further developments planned to improve and sustain the expanding the mental and physical health and wellbeing provision for our staff.


The post holder will be expected to act autonomously ensuring that daily tasks and ongoing workloads are prioritised and completed in agreed timeframes, as well as being responsible for the planning, facilitation and implementation of specific aligned projects, ensuring projects are achieved on time.


This post requires someone with initiative, common sense and a calm and professional manner, with a high standard of administrative and communication skills.


  • To coordinate, lead and deliver the mental and physical health and wellbeing agenda for the Trust.
  • To be actively involved in the implementation, development and monitoring of the Staff Support Service, playing a supporting role in leading specific areas of work relating to health and wellbeing across the Trust.
  • To lead on the development of physical health initiatives and promote these across the Trust.
  • To ensure the Trust shows a positive and enabling attitude to employees and job applicants with health and wellbeing issues.
  • To provide independent and nonjudgemental proactive support to individual staff that experience issues relating to their health and wellbeing.
  • To liaise and build relationships with internal and external agencies to provide staff with a range of support available. To support staff to access services when required.
  • To coordinate, update and develop the health and wellbeing pages on the staff intranet system. To provide a range of information, support and selfhelp for staff and managers.
  • To promote the range of health and wellbeing initiatives that is available for staff using a variety of mediums.
  • Provide high quality and efficient project and administrative support, including information management, supporting project reporting and analysis.
  • Respond to the needs of the service and the Head of OD and Staff Engagement by providing them with the support they require to lead an effective and efficient service.
Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust provides local, regional and national award-winning healthcare services. We provide community health services and mental health services for young people, adults and older people.

Our North London Forensic Service treats and cares for people in the criminal justice system who have mental health conditions.

We also provide one of the largest eating disorders services in England, as well as drug and alcohol services.
