Do you love magazines? Are you passionate about art and culture? Here is your chance to join the Editorial Team at Aesthetica.
We are looking for a Content Creator to join our team who will plan, produce, edit and commission content for Aesthetica Magazine and all related projects, including the programmes, books and publications for the _Aesthetica Short Film Festival, Art Prize_ and _Creative Writing Award_.
Job Responsibilities
- Write and publish daily articles, newsletters and social media posts.
- Research, find and produce appropriate editorial content.
- Source images, photographers and secure publication rights.
- Commission and edit copy to maintain high editorial standards.
- Setting up and conducting interviews.
- Organising contributors and journalists.
- Liaise with press agents and be a point of contact for editorial enquiries.
- Proofread, fact check and subedit editorial content.
- Create printready pages with images using InDesign.
- Use Canva to produce high quality digital assets and graphics.
- Schedule and manage content on our websites, and our social media platforms.
- Ensure brand values are maintained across all our editorial content.
- Creative with the ability to source newsworthy content.
- Outstanding written skills with a journalistic flair and who can produce high quality content daily and work to extremely tight and strict deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills, proactive with a positive cando attitude.
- Outstanding grammar and ability to proofread.
- Have an eagle eye for detail and be able to fact check as you work.
- Be approachable, friendly and a good communicator.
- Be able to forge strong working relationships with colleagues and external contacts including curators, artists, writers and press agents.
- Be able to work accurately and calmly under pressure.
- Be IT competent with working knowledge of social media platforms and websites using SEO and content management systems.
- Proficiency in design software such as InDesign and Canva is highly desirable.
- Should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the art and cultural sector.
