Salary up to £33,000 + excellent bonus structure
Central Leeds & Hybrid working

My client has an excellent opportunity for an Underwriter to join their Renewals team. You will be taking care of a wide variety of professional, Management, Cyber and Technology renewals.

Main duties of Underwriter:

Provide and maintain a high level of underwriting, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of company guidelines and authority levels
Underwriting risks in accordance within own personal level of underwriting authority
Provide excellent service to brokers, prioritising renewals and midterm adjustments and referrals
Ensure incoming calls to the team are answered promptly and professionally
Followup renewals with brokers with the purpose of securing and retaining business
Handle renewal cases working as appropriate with the broker to secure renewal and upsell/ crosssell additional covers
Build and maintain excellent working relationships with the Technical teams
Assisting the team and wider business with ad hoc projects

Essential:

Relevant insurance underwriting experience and proven technical skills
Excellent written, spoken communication and numerical skills
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong IT skills including MS Office and other systems including the broker etrading platform
Be studying for/or be willing to study for CII qualifications the client will fully fund and support you in this qualification
