Apprenticeship Programme - September Manufacturing
Are you looking to start a career in Manufacturing? We are pleased to confirm that we will be welcoming 30 new Engineering Apprentices to Team Swift in September 2023.
Available Apprenticeships:
L2 Engineering Operative
- L3 Engineering Fitter
The growth of the British Staycation has led to an increased demand in our product and we are looking for the next generation of Approved Technicians to join our team We will invest in your training and development over a 3 year period which will pave the way for an exciting new career in manufacturing.
THE APPRENTICESHIP
General Induction > Generic Skills > Specific Skills > Work based Learning
- Classroom style learning
- Practical Demos
- Practical task and assessments
- Team building exercises and challenges
- Manual handling
- Learn to produce bespoke components for the Holiday Homes, Tourer & Motorhomes industries
- Work within manufacturing areas with mentors rotating through different departments such as Quality, Repair Bay, Process Engineering, Development & Production learning a wide range of skills
- Learn to use all relevant equipment, tools and machinery
- Attend a weekly day release and successfully complete the Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship programme
SKILLS & QUALITIES
To be considered for the Apprenticeship Scheme you must be either a 2023 school leaver or aged between 16-19, have achieved grade 4 or above in English and Math, and successfully pass an assessment with our onsite Swift Academy.
- A helpful and friendly attitude with a willingness to learn
- Proactive and positive attitude applied to all tasks
- Large and small
- Enthusiastic and reliable with a clear interest in Engineering
- Ability to work with others and enjoy team work as well as use their own initiative
- Excellent time keeping skills
- Commitment to the work and maintaining & developing Swift Group's reputation and customer base
- Ability to follow instruction and work to schedule
- Methodical with high attention to detail, demonstrating the ability to work accurately to high precision
- Good verbal and written communication skills including IT
- Commitment to continued learning & development
