Summary

To provide administrative support to the Registered Manager.

Details


Provide administrative support to the Registered Manager and other senior staff in the form of typing, filing, photocopying and other duties.

Receive all incoming calls, take messages, and redirect to appropriate areas.

All calls shall be answered in a friendly, accommodating, and polite manner taking account of residents and relative's fears and potential problems with hearing and ability to assimilate words.

This is vital to help portray a professional image. The standards must be to the Directors requirements.

All outgoing calls shall be undertaken in the same manner as above.

Assist with the financial bookkeeping of the Nursing Home, including fee collection and liaison with relatives and residents.

Do the banking.

Dealing with all self-funding residents' free nursing care details.

Maintaining records for residents.

Be responsible for information to the accountant regarding monthly accounts, petty cash, and residents' activity funding.

Send monthly information to accountant of bed occupancy, any change of resident's i.e., new resident, transfer, or death.

Receive visitors into the home and greet them in a pleasant, cordial manner.

Occasional work for the Company Directors.

Co-operate with the Health & Safety Policy.

Participate in social activities with residents (occasional). Participate in training.

Assisting Activities Co-ordinator with social activities and budget.

Dealing with hairdressing and messages for residents and arranging private chiropody visits.

Any other duties as may be reasonably acceptable.

You are expected to maintain absolute confidentiality of Resident, Employee and Directors details even after you have left the company's employment (see General

Conditions of Employment)

  • Windows XP and Word maintaining up to date records on Caresys.
Management

The Administrator is directly managed and reports to the Registered Manager.

The Administrator shall conform to the Registered Manager's requirements and shall conform to budgetary restraints in terms of ordering supplies.
