Purpose of the role


To provide an industry leading and customer-focused service to our customers while delivering and exceeding personal and departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

You will proactively generate, provide and manage leads for the O.E.M. & Residential Specification Channel while also reporting back the benefits and opportunities to the wider organisational stakeholders.

This role supports day to day relationships with customers, representing them to internal and external stakeholders as well as generating opportunities to achieve sales growth in the channel.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivering exceptional service and achieving sales performance for the channel and Carlisle Brass as a whole in times of peak trading and challenging trading periods.
  • Developing and communicating with customers to generate excitement and commitment to deliver sales and promotion of our products.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements whilst building, maintaining and retaining business relationships.
  • Recognising and capitalising on opportunities that come into the business via different mediums (web, Barbour, field etc.) which will involve identifying and prioritising the most suitable to follow up.
  • Liaising with the sales team and supply chain to ensure that demand patterns are planned for and understood.
  • Recording and creating reports across the new build, doorset and O.E.M. channels to assist forecasting.
  • Achieving new profitable business development results. Actively seeking new business opportunities by providing quotes and using strong sales disciplines to close sales and achieve our customer revenue growth.
  • Updating and maintaining the CRM system, alongside managing key administration for the channel including logging of quotations issued & circulating to the team on a routine basis.
  • Working with the Technical and Specification team on projectbased quotations.
  • Processing developer incentives, new offers, renewals & claims while providing leads and information to support sales, specification and customer services.
  • Assisting Customer Service and Finance with root cause analysis on invoice queries to speed up resolution times.
  • Dealing with technical and specialist enquiries from customers where appropriate.
  • Conducting strategic outbound calls to both drive sales and maintain customer intimacy.
  • Handling incoming calls both external & internal (Pricing / Technical / Contracts) in accordance with Carlisle Brass customer service standards.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A mindset that always puts the customer first.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Commercial acumen with a mindset for continuous improvement.
  • The ability to manage projects from initiation to completion and review.
  • A proven track record in hitting targets and delivering projects.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team that includes remote workers.
  • Systematic, organised and accurate.
  • Enthusiastic, selfmotivated and proactive.
  • A proven team player who has the ability to take the lead.
