- and action-oriented start up that was founded on the belief that nature knows best. We develop and manufacture naturally biodegradable packaging solutions, made from seaweed and plants. We are currently looking to bring in an Operations Associate to join our Manufacturing and Development team, to look after our inhouse warehouse and logístical operations whilst also developing the quality and logistics processes. As well as using your existing skills in Logistics and Operations, we would like you to take on quality responsibilities within the production facility, ensuring what we deliver to our clients and partners is to the highest possible standards.

The manufacturing group within Notpla is responsible for creating our innovative and unique range of products. In particular, the team is tasked with the in-house production of our flagship Ooho product.

They are led by our Director of Development & Manufacturing, who has years of experience leading the development of sustainable packaging alternatives.

The team is incredibly dynamic, owning a flexible approach to problem-solving that allows them to flourish with this new and exciting product technology.

They are a group that celebrate change and have a constant desire to push the process and capabilities of their products forward.

As Operations Associate you will sit within our Operations and Production team, supporting the team on logistics, inventory and warehouse management, and qualtity assurance.

We are looking for someone with a can do attitude, someone who is willing to take on challenges. We are looking for flexible people who don't mind taking on extra responsibilities.

The Operations Associate will own all logistics activities, working closely with our Operations Manager and our Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to ensure successful and timely deliveries to our clients and partners.

You will also be responsible for the general day to day production inventory and warehouse management.

As well as this, you will also start to develop into a Quality assistant, we will give you the opportunity to learn exactly what quality assurance is and how it is applied to a production, operations and logistics.


Other day to day activities will include:

  • Work alongside the commercial team to manage the outgoing logístical needs of our shopify account.
  • Work with the Production team to ensure effective inventory and stock control is carried out.
  • Ensure quality control within the production facility.
  • Work with external partners and suppliers to ensure the standards of goods coming in and out is of the highest quality.
  • Manage our Shopify account.
  • Managing crate shipments.
  • Picking and packing in the warehouse to ensure delivery on samples and wholesale orders across our product portfolio.
  • Organising and building relationships with our network of couriers to ensure successful delivery.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we are well planned and adhering to deliver schedules.
  • Preparing and shipping samples and large scale orders.
  • Manage all stock within the business, including but not limited to our in house Ooho production facility, prototyping and materials and ingredients library.
  • Work with the operations manager to assist in quality control of products manufactured in house.
  • Work with the development team to develop effective and novel secondary packing and transit techniques.
  • Ensure quality of samples produced for early stage or new products.

Salary:
£12.50-£15.00 per hour
