Description
Job Introduction

Are you passionate about delivering great services to residents? Are you someone who likes to own a problem and get it solved? Do you have experience of contractor, stakeholder and resident relationship management? If so, then we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for a Heat Network Officer to join us in Assets and Sustainability to manage a portfolio of sites where heating and hot water is supplied centrally.

Role Responsibilities

You'll manage a portfolio of sites where heating and hot water is provided from a central plant room, making sure the systems are well maintained, performing as efficiently as possible and outages, both planned and unplanned, are kept to a minimum with the right level of communication with residents.

It's a high-profile role, working with contractors, consultants, resident-facing teams and residents to ensure these vital services are delivered.

The sites will include new developments that utilise the latest heat network technology along with some of our more traditional communal heating systems found in our legacy buildings.

You'll be responsible for making sure planned preventative maintenance is carried out on time, that repairs are attended to promptly and that evidence is provided by contractors to support the work they've carried out.

You'll work alongside our billing colleagues to ensure residents are paying for the heating and hot water they consume.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build on your experience working with colleagues, residents, contractors and consultants to deliver a robust and responsive service.

You'll have high expectations in terms of contractor performance and you'll be proactive in holding contractors and consultants to account.

You will bring experience of managing contractor relationships and building connections with residents, while experience in procurement is useful as is an understanding of communal heating.

Resident comfort and safety will be your top priority while making sure that work carried out offers value for money.

You'll work alongside operational colleagues to develop the planned investment programme for our existing heat networks.

There are opportunities within Assets and Sustainability to further develop your career, to learn more about how our business operates and showcase your ability to build relationships in a supportive and vibrant environment.

We believe we work best when we're together, so you'll be expected to work from our head office in Kings Cross at least three days a week, as well as visit other locations as necessary to get the job done.

A willingness to travel and be flexible is vital.
