We are currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company with an enviable reputation in their field, who pride themselves on delighting business customers all over the world with industry-leading research and testing solutions.

Our client is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team and take responsibility for the sales ledger and processing of remittances.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • Management of all finance functions for half of the sale ledger accounts (credit control, customer queries, credit checks)
  • Cash allocations
  • Processing credit card payments and updating finance systems
  • Forwarding statements to customers and raising sales invoices
  • Processing bank statements, cash/ cheque/ vouchers/ for all bank accounts
  • Provide flexible support and assistance to colleagues in the finance team

Skills and experience required:


  • Minimum 2+ years' experience of working in a transactional role within a finance department with exposure to multicurrency accounting is desirable
  • Exposure to sales ledger processing, customer query resolution
  • Knowledge of an accountancy software system (Access Dimensions and Goldmine CRM desirable) and good working knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Extremely organised and selfmotivated, with strong interpersonal skills and able to work in a small team

Hours:


  • Fulltime, Monday to Friday 9.00am 5.30pm (some flexibility available based around core hours 9.30am 4.30pm)
  • Officebased

Salary and benefits:

- £22,000 - £26,000

  • 25 days annual holiday + 8 bank holidays (increasing per year)
